Second Front Systems selected for the 2023 AWS European Defence Accelerator program. Second Front continues to expand Game Warden availability to European national security users.
Arlington, VA, July 12, 2023 – Second Front Systems®, a public-benefit software company focused on accelerating the delivery of mission-critical software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions to government, has been selected to participate in the 2023 AWS European Defence Accelerator program. The AWS European Defence Accelerator is a four-week technical, business, and mentorship program delivered by AWS in collaboration with Plexal for startups interested in supporting defence and national security organisations across Europe.
The goal of the AWS European Defence Accelerator is to support startups with AWS Cloud technologies to provide energy resilience, secure information sharing, sensing and decision making, quantum, and cyber resilience solutions to support a range of customer mission needs. Companies selected to participate have demonstrated commercial traction and the potential to scale in the defence industry.
Cameron Brooks, AWS Director (Europe) said, “I congratulate Second Front Systems and all those selected to participate in the AWS European Defence Accelerator. With the tech sector’s support, there is an opportunity for defence ministries and multilateral organizations to build a unique level of engagement with commercial, non-traditional defence companies. The AWS European Defence Accelerator will help facilitate this type of connection and cooperation, enabling customers to solve problems using the power of technology.”
Through Second Front’s Game Warden® platform, commercial software providers can develop and deploy compliant software on government networks through inherited security controls, streamlining the go-to-market timeline for defence solutions. Game Warden is built on AWS GovCloud and leverages a suite of AWS service offerings for development, compliance, operations, and monitoring.
“Being selected for the AWS European Defence Accelerator program is a tremendous honour for Second Front Systems. It’s a validation of our commitment to providing mission-critical software solutions to government agencies,” said Tyler Sweatt, Chief Revenue Officer of Second Front. “This program will enable us to leverage the power of AWS Cloud technologies and expand our reach in supporting defence and national security organisations across Europe.”
As the continuous availability of updated modern cloud software becomes increasingly critical across federal governments, having access to real world mission data in secure environments that users can evaluate, collaborate on, and analyse is critical to maximising national security. Through the AWS European Defence Accelerator program, Second Front can continue to expand its mission of making advanced modern software available to national security users across European organisations with Game Warden.
Second Front Systems (2F) fast-tracks government access to disruptive, commercially-proven software as a service (SaaS) applications for national security missions. Leading software providers—ranging from publicly traded defence contractors to startups—and government agencies trust 2F’s Game Warden DevSecOps platform and secure cloud hosting environment to accelerate their delivery and harness the cloud revolution at scale. Founded by former U.S. Marines, this public benefit, venture-backed software company is driven by firsthand experience of the dangers outdated technology poses in combat.
