ABOUT THE ROLE

Second Front Systems’ Engineering team is seeking a skilled, highly experienced, and motivated Senior Technical Program Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of engineers, designers, and project managers, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and to the highest standards while accelerating delivery of our DevSecOps platform (Game Warden). Second Front Systems is working to accelerate the transition and adoption of emerging technology into the national security ecosystem, including the Department of Defense. We are seeking professionals who want to operate on the front lines of an exciting and disruptive mission.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Senior Technical Program Manager for Second Front Systems, we’ll expect you to lead, drive, and accelerate delivery of our DevSecOps platform (Game Warden). You'll coordinate complex technical projects across our Platform, Application, and Operations Teams. We pride ourselves on working together as a team and delivering results. You’ll be expected to work cross functionally on both well defined topics and on priority areas you identify. We'll empower and look to you to:
• Provide technical guidance: Have a strong understanding of the DevSecOps, software development, and cloud technologies and be able to provide guidance and direction to technical team members as needed. Identify and leverage technical experts as needed to ensure project success.
• Define and executing project plans: Define project scope, objectives, and timelines, and ensure that projects are delivered on time and meet requirements.
• Manage risks and issues: Identify and manage potential risks and issues that could impact project delivery.
• Communicate effectively: Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. Communicate project status, progress, and issues to stakeholders at all levels.

As part of the team, you’ll be expected to establish benchmarks, outline key activities, write user stories, and prioritize efforts across multiple initiatives and programs. You'll be responsible for developing and documenting new solutions, working independently, and contributing to a culture of diversity, innovation, and excellence.

SKILLS YOU'LL BRING TO THE TEAM
• A deep understanding of agile methodologies
• Exposure to designing, implementing, and operating cloud-based infrastructure
• Familiarity and experience with containerization and Kubernetes
• Familiarity and experience with AWS services
• Strong problem-solving skills and be able to develop contingency plans as needed
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to understand technical concepts
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Expertise with DevSecOps principles, components, and cloud computing providers and services
• Familiarity with Gitlab, Confluence, Google Workspaces
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 10 years of relevant experience

• Strong interest in matters of national security
• Active security clearance or ability to obtain a Top Secret-level security clearance
• Experience working in a startup environment
• Ability to adopt, create and iterate on changing procedures
